I'm Michael, 24 single from Israel. I like classical-music and jazz (I also play piano), quality movies and books, ancient literature, ancient culture/languages. I worked as a video editor and effects specialist, but today I work as a content engineer in a site that uploads ancient literature online, which means I'm kind of junior in coding but read a lot most of the time (it's part of the job).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The world is huge, and I'm tired of reading about it - I want to live it! I want to see the vast wide world in all its greatness and blemishes alike. Want to meet people from different cultures, people who speak other languages, had interesting experiences in life. Travelling across the globe is a great way to do it, and Couchsurfing is even better. Surely it's a never-ending quest, but you've got to start somewhere, no?

Music, Movies, and Books

I like classical music, and played piano for many years. I also like light jazz and rock. I like classical movies but also A24's movies which are always great. Movies for me are more than just escapism but a way to think about life, I worked in the film industry as an editor and compositor for quite some time so I know it a bit from the inside. I like ancient literature and ancient languages, greco-roman culture and ancient judaism. Of course, I also like some of the moderns, as Tolstoy and Dostoevsky. My interests are varied and forever changing - like life itself.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I worked at the age of 16 as a digital-effects compositor on a feature film that was brodcasted on HBO (one of my first jobs!)
