Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm taking time off from school to do a solo tour around the perimeter of the states, starting in Maine, going across to Washington, down the Pacific, then across the Rockies and plains to the Carolinas, and down to Florida. At Ohio University, where I study English, I have the opportunity to do an honors thesis, so I'm going to do a creative writing and multimedia project based on my travels. I'll be journaling extensively and taking audio recordings (of course, I will ask before recording anything). On this trip, I am very excited to meet people I would never have met otherwise--to hear your stories and to share mine.

Interests

I'm studying English with a focus on creative writing, but I see myself in education later on in life. I love working with kids and seeing their faces light up as they learn exciting things about the world they live in.

Completed a bicycle tour from Columbus, Ohio to San Diego when I was 18.
