About Me
The role I most cherish in my life is that of a Father to two amazing children. My daughter turned 16 in May and my son turned 13 a few months earlier. I have been gifted with an amazing career in software and technology -- and fortunate enough to work with and for some of the most interesting and passionate people in my line of work.
Having grown up in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, I moved west to Colorado at my first opportunity. Both of my children were born in Denver and when they were still young we all moved to the Seattle area for a fantastic career opportunity for me. I have never loved living in a place more that The Pacific Northwest and am constantly amazed by the natural beauty I witness on a daily basis.
I enjoy several sports including golf, sailing, soccer, and tennis -- particularly when enjoying them with my children. I am an avid reader and strive to maintain a honest curiosity about life and how to improve one's self. I recently have been training for a Triathlon and will be completing my first full Marathon soon.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am interested in meeting new people and the conversations and interactions that result. Also, nothing is more financially nonsensical to me than paying a bunch of money to a hotel to just sleep there and never interact with the people and culture of the places I visit.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: Anythi g by Christopher Hitchens or Sam Harris. And since I have an English degree, I am fairly well read. Love some SciFi and also historical fiction and non-fiction.
Movies: I like most genres except most horror films.
Music: Most all music, except for the type of music, particularly some Country music, that celebrates ignorance as a virtue.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Worked directly for that guy who runs Apple.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am a very good career coach and do that professionally, in addition to my consulting practice.

A polite guest. Happy to have great conversation and build networks of friends and professionals (which kind of describes what I do for a living).
