About Me
Hello!
Pleasure to make your acquaintance, I’m a traveler in my 20’s from the Northern US. In the last five years I haven’t lived in one place for more than a few months; I’ve lived in several states and visited twenty-some countries.
I’ve been blessed to meet countless spectacular characters in my travels, and learn a great deal from them, hopefully making a difference for the good in each place. I grew up in scouting and I still work closely with the scouts in the US, so adventure of all sorts has always been close to my heart.
I believe every stranger has two things, if you focus the energy on them to find them: something that is so unfamiliar to you as to be able to learn from them, and something that is so familiar to you as to be able to be friends over it.
Find me on instagram @captaincredo, Facebook at Michael Norberg.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’ve been on Workaway for quite some time and have been many places and engaged in some fascinating projects thereby, and from the little I’ve heard about Couchsurfing it seems an excellent place to make new friends and experience life from their perspective.

Music, Movies, and Books
The greatest literary work I’ve ever encountered is from the likes of Jane Austen, P. G. Wodehouse, Amor Towles, Kyril Bonfiglioli, Tolkien— I s’pose that’s a long list so I’ll leave it there. I hope I never run out of good books to read.
I’m a great cinephile. I like Sir Ian McKellen, Johnny Depp, Stephen Fry, Frances De La Tour.
Music is a broad thing; Grieg, Taylor Swift, George Ezra, Queen, Lindsey Stirling, Satie.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I’ve read Treasure Island six times! Haha.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have some Italian, a little French. I know something about foraging but that’s the sort of knowledge that changes from place to place. I’ve taught and worked with kids for a number of years in the BSA, work which I really enjoy and I have a smattering of introductory information on lots of subjects from teaching therein. I love languages and would appreciate learning or teaching anything from that angle. What are you an expert in?
