Have always enjoyed traveling and meeting new people, learning about different cultures and hearing first hand what life is like in other countries. Never knew of couchsurfing , but find the idea of opening my home to others who are looking for more then just a packaged tour a great one.
To those who may be wanting to stay, if you've read my reviews you know I've picked up guests from the airport and taken them site-seeing and to local attractions they may have wanted to see. Due to eye issues, I am no longer driving so am unable to do this anymore. From the airport, I'm almost a 2 hour bus trip to where I live in Las Vegas. Uber/Lyft etc. will cost $30 and up . From my home it's about an hour bus ride to the Las Vegas Strip. By car I'm about 45 min to the airport and 25 to the strip. I've hosted a few who did not find this a problem, but have surfers too who have changed their mind after I gave them this information so putting it out there so you know in advance if this is an issue for you.
