About Me

Hi there, I'm Michael an adventure seeking student currently studying abroad in Wales for my last semester of University! I'm terrible at these "about me" things but here it goes. I was born in a tiny farm town in Iowa, raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I grew up with two brothers (Will 19 and Ben 15) and two kickass parents. For the last 4-5 years, I've been living in Montana studying Business Management & Sustainability. I love anything outdoors, especially if it's in the mountains, but some of my favorites are snowboarding, hiking, swimming, and fishing. Unfortunately, I only speak English but plan on learning Spanish after I finish my studies this semester. Hope this helps you a bit getting to know me!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I hope to travel as much as possible while I'm over here, and soak up as many fantastic experiences all of Europe has to offer throughout my travels. I've quickly realized that although hostels are amazing, they can sometimes get a little bit expensive, especially if you're traveling alone! A friend of mine I met at school introduced me to Couchsurfing and I absolutely love the idea of a community of people willing to open up their homes to travelers like myself! I look forward to using this site and meeting the awesome people that will take me in. And when I'm back home I'm planning on opening up my own home to future travelers like myself!

PS: I aspire to be the least burdensome guest while staying at a couchsurfers place. We can have as little or as much interaction as you would like. I do not require anything but simply a place to lay my head for the night.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was 18 I traveled to Mexico City, Cuernavaca, Taxco, and Queretaro by myself for the first time to visit my biological father and family for the first time. I don't speak any Spanish and my half brother was the only person that spoke broken English. The trip was amazing!
