I like to travel alone, however, I like to meet local people and explore their city with their insider-knowledge. Couchsurfing provides me with the opportunity to get to know a place from a different angle and escape from the, sometimes, busy and restless atmosphere of a 10 bed hostel dorm (;
Also, I am always traveling on a budget and prefer spending some money on food to cook for my host, than for a hostel room (:
