I am not an expert cyclist, nor an athlete or expeditionist. I am simply a person planning on travelling 2,500km across the continent of Europe on a shoestring budget in the name of self discovery and artistic creativity. i’m a filmmaker and content creator so you’ll get to witness every step of my adventure and help me on my journey to both outer and inner discovery. (hopefully)

what’s the plan?
I am planning on leaving the UK in early August 2022, initially crossing from plymouth to roscoff in France.

From there the route and journey will really come into play. 2,500km down the continent crossing northern france initially and cycling down into spain to attempt cycling ‘the northern way’ route of the santiago de compostela pilgrimage. Afterwards crossing into northern portugal and heading down the coast to lagos.

I cant wait to share this experience with you, and hopefully gain some wisdom along the path... let's do this together.

I am looking to get the most out of my trip through taking part in couchsurfing opportunities along the way where I can share my skills, language & stories with likeminded people. I have worked in a restaurant environment for most of my adult life so I am extremely good at working with people and i deeply enjoy looking after people. Along side that I have many qualifications in art, graphic design & film making. I now work freelance as a Film-Maker and Music producer. So i will thrive on any creative opportunities that we could work on together!

I am a Film-maker / Musician, and visual artist having recently moved to Manchester from the southwest UK, I feel I moved for the opportunity to be part of Manchester's teaming creative network as i am myself a budding artist with qualifications in art, graphic design & film-making, but after a few years out of education and a steadfast obsession with cycle touring i am looking to expand & enrich my life with another big adventure.

I have been working in a restaurant hospitality environment for 9 years but during my film-making BA degree I achieved somewhat notoriety for ambitious and controversial projects, a short World War Two drama ‘steine’ earned me the ‘emerging talent’ award at Plymouth film festival.

I feel my experience in moving image set me up perfectly for an audio focused future, Spending weeks in edit suites getting surgical with the sound engineering, working with hundreds of audio layers, foley sound & musical content to synchronise with the on-screen action.

After my BA, thirsty to pursue something creative my energies shifted to music production as this was something I could do from home in a more accessible way, I learned the basic guitar skills and set off writing & rudimentarily recording my own projects. This became an obsessive hobby and lead to investing in budget microphones, interface units & various audio equipment, soon enough a solid foundation of recording theory & production had started to form.

Next on the list was collaboration with other artists and I began to network, fortunately finding a variety of willing artists, from saxophone specialists to other producer types alike me, most notably Annmarie Rosario, a New York based Berkeley music student who’s celebrating huge successes on Spotify reaching almost a million hits on one of her projects. This working relationship started during the start of the pandemic and found us collaborating on tens, even hundreds of projects together. Her pure talent as a writer, artist & intuitive producer was invaluable to my own growth.

Often working on tracks with 5+ artists, mixing bass guitars, drums, saxophones & vocal stems too without any official education in music meant everything learned has been learned practically, from basic Logic Pro X recording techniques to more intricate mixology skills when mastering my own projects, mostly referring to YouTube tutorials & online guides to for fill my vision for each project.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Aged 19 I quit my job, packed a bag, moved out and sailed to Santander from plymouth, then walked to Madrid where I met a wonderful Australian traveller Olivia, and we hitched down through Spain into Portugal. From Lagos I bought a bicycle and cycled up the coast of Portugal to Lisbon.

It was amazing and founded my love of cycle touring.
