Hello! My name is Michael, and my girlfriend and I are going to be traveling Europe for 3 months this fall. We are looking into a blend of hotels, hostels, and couch-surfing along the way. We are interested in doing both touristy and local activities as we travel, and we are very open to suggestions. We have spent the past 3 years living in Denver, Colorado, where we worked in non-profits supporting people experiencing homelessness and poverty. I also work as a freelance camera operator, and have shot video professionally in the NBA, NHL, and MLS. We look forward to meeting you!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've done couch-surfing once before with a friend when I was studying abroad in 2014, and I absolutely loved it. I love meeting cool people and learning about an area's culture from locals!

I am a fan of all kinds of music, in particular rock, folk, and showtunes. I am a huge Star Wars fan, and lover of all kinds of movies (except horror). My favorite book is Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk, which was written by my uncle (you should check it out)!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I studied abroad in Prague for a summer in 2014, and have wanted to come back and explore Europe ever since. While there the first time, I visited Budapest, Brno, Dresden, and Geneva. I'm very excited to add many more to that list!

My girlfriend and I are very excited to learn anything you would like to share. Whether it's local food, music, history, or nature, we are very curious people who will try to soak in everything you teach us! We are also happy to teach you anything you want to know about America, from our history to our educational system to our complex political climate, we are happy to share anything you want to know!

With us, you are getting two quiet but very friendly Americans who are both willing to learn and participate in your culture, and share whatever you want to know about ours.
