My biggest interests/obsessions are surfing, science, and music. I spend most of my free time pursuing these things. My wife and I also enjoy cooking, eating, drinking beer, and watching TV together. I spend more time than I would like following tangents on Wikipedia.

I like the books "The Selfish Gene" by Richard Dawkins and "On Intelligence" by Jeff Hawkins. I like the movies "Groundhog Day" and "Revenge of the Nerds" and "Dirty Work". My favorite music artists at the moment are Dirty Projectors and WU LYF.

I think Galapagos is the most inspiring place I've been--overwhelmingly beautiful wildlife and landscapes.
