About Me

Hello hello!
My name is Michael and I'm an Australian English teacher who lives in Spain.
I am a big music fan and play guitar and sing a little too. I love to run, especially around new places that I visit, and also have a soft spot for football as well.
I consider myself a fairly polite person. I say "please" and "thank you" and am completely respectful of others' ways of living. We are all just here for a good time.
I look forward to hopefully getting to know you!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am an avid traveller and it is something I have never tried before. I love to meet new people and learn more about different cultures, languages or just ways of doing things, so I feel Couchsurfing is a great way to combine my love of travelling with achieving what I want to achieve in any given trip. Also the added bonus of meeting and living with locals it is an obvious plus too.

Interests

I have played guitar for about 13 years and have recently taken singing lessons and begun singing at open mic nights around town.
I try to keep fit by running twice a week and playing social football.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like any type of music. Good music is good music. To narrow it down to a genre or two, I would have to say my favourite would be motown soul from the 60's and 70's, as well as British rock from that era too. My favourite band is The Rolling Stones.
I'm not a big movie fan in my own time, although I'm always up for anything. My favourite movie is Anchorman, purely for how quotable it is.
Books are again not something I occupy myself with a lot in my spare time, however when I do read it is almost exclusively non-fiction.

Bungee jumping from 134m in New Zealand in the middle of a canyon.
