Check out what happens when one guy (me) from New York City embarked on a 1,900+ mile walk from NYC to Austin, TX to promote mental health awareness:

^ I'm not active on that Instagram account. It's just record of my walk.
I’m an open-minded and humorous Dominican-Peruvian American from a very remote town located at the southern tip of New York State called New York City. To be specific, I was born and raised in the Bronx.
I majored in Anthropology -- basically, I pursued a degree that’s highly regarded as useless in the market! That alone should already entail that I’m fervently interested in learning about many cultures!
Humor is essential to my life and I vehemently encourage everyone to embrace it into their own - you'll notice it from my sardonic and sarcastic attitude.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
May 24, 2016 - January 15, 2017, I've embarked on a 1,900-miles walk from NYC to Austin, TX in hopes of re-discovering my purpose for being and as a way to promote mental health awareness!
2021, I went on a safari excursion in Kenya with my friend! We saw the big 5!
2019, I visited Australia, Fiji, Vanuatu, and New Caledonia!
2004, I managed to survive a 6 hits LSD/acid trip!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm able to teach you how to prepare yourself a bowl of cereal and milk, instant ramen noodles, and celery and peanut butter! I know, I'm quite the Bobby Flay! In all honesty, I'm able to prepare Peruvian ceviche, Seared Chilean Sea Bass plate, and an avocado quinoa salad!
I definitely can provide great companionship in any activity that I'm thrown in as I regard myself as a very open-minded fella due to my eagerness to learn everything about this world (I sound like an extraterrestrial)! I'm able to share my traveling anecdotes during my walk and life in NYC. Lastly, I'm able to share my love for animals (except cats, I'm allergic to them).
