About Me

CURRENT MISSION

You only live once. So, make it happen.

ABOUT ME

I jump out of airplanes. I ride a motorcycle. I went scuba diving lastvSeptember...I am always seeking a new thrill. I am very much into anything fitness, especially Crossfit. I believe that you can never learn enough. I want to know you, personally. I want to know where you came from, and what your greatest achievements are. I want to know what your purpose is on earth. There is so much to do, see, hear and feel in this lifetime, I feel like I should have got started on this several years ago!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Isn't it funny how I am kind of weird about someone staying at my place, but have no reservations about staying at someone else's?

Interests

I love fitness. I will graduate in May with my Master of Science in Exercise Science. I love to see incredible feats of strength and/or perseverance. The human body never ceases to amaze me. I love sports, particularly American football. I like to hike and hang out at the beach when the opportunity arises. I do not want to be forgotten, and am thus intrigued by history and am considering writing an Autobiography. I could live on coffee. I also like beer.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love movies, specifically comedies. I listen to everything from Bach to Metallica to 311 to Common to Dierks Bentley to Bob Marley to Frank Sinatra to 90s hip hop. I like it all...except the punk/emo/screamo whiny music. Read the Huger Games trio in December and loved it. I also thoroughly enjoy books about food science.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have jumped out of an airplane 29 times. I still get scared every time. It is the 1st time one jumps without being scared that one will become complacent and not have triple checked their equipment.
I saw the U.S Navy Blue Angels perform in 2008. This was easily one of the most spectacular things I have ever seen.
I have visited the beaches of Normandy, with an incredible tour guide who was able to detail hundreds of events that occurred on each beach during the invasion. The guide put the war into perspective. I have also visited the memorials in Washington, D. C. All of them, especially the Vietnam Memorial changed my view of America's military forever.

Teach, Learn, Share

Open up your mind. Be an optimistic realist. Just a few months ago, I was talking about applying for jobs in the UK and my wife laughed at me and told me I need to be more of a realist. Well, this summer will be her first trip to Europe, I think she will change her mind...

Find a way to make a career out of doing what you love to do.
Treat others as you would have them treat you.
Don't waste time, but enjoy every second of it.
