About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Hopeful permanent immigrant in the Netherlands. I'm looking to continue working with NGOs, teaching English, and to study development economics in Europe; I'm especially always open for meeting up with like-minded pioneers to discuss the future!

NGO's I love: http://www.homelesschild.org / tchproject.org / 350.org

ABOUT ME

My passion is people...sharing, listening, learning, and empowering others is the pursuit I've devoted my life to. In this way, I hope to make the greatest impact and experience a diversity of personalities and perspectives.

PHILOSOPHY

We as living beings are infinitely interconnected and share stewardship over our environment and each other. I'm fascinated with the principles of honor and responsibility. Particularly how individual interpretation can define one's existence and develop positive reflection or crippling regret...now is the time to act and save our world from the deadly consequences of deception and ignorance of the man-made changes affecting our climate and living world!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I seek out experiences as the sculpting lines of my life. I've hosted several times and taken many a surfing tour; on a motorcycle all around the USA and more recently in Europe.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Lifelong activist for the couchsurfing movement...realizing change by sharing and working together through success and failure. I like to move around.

Interests

Human creation is second only to the effortless perfection which comes from nature. I am compelled to study both in my life, the latter with admiration and the former with real thought to my own contribution.

  • music
  • surfing
  • economics
  • creative art
  • inclusive finance

Music, Movies, and Books

I love reading; especially philosophy, science, biography, spirituality, economics, geo-politics, history, and the occasional novel.

There is a time and place for every type of music. I've found that outdoors at any time is usually best though.

I enjoy a variety of movies, but I always have time for a classic. IMAX is incredible but sometimes Netflix is cool too

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Standing outside in the eye of a major hurricane...feeling the calm at the core of nature's fury

Teach, Learn, Share

Basic principle which defines my life: "It is not the greatness of a man's means that makes him independent, so much as the smallness of his wants" -W.Cobbett

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'd like to share experiences of my journey and fellowship on an adventure...plus I've got more than decent manners and always leave a house better than I found it!

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Bahamas, Belgium, Cambodia, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Guatemala, Honduras, Ireland, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, Virgin Islands, U.S.
