About Me

CURRENT MISSION

See amazing things, eat amazing things and meet amazing people.

ABOUT ME

So last year I graduated from university in my home town Perth, and now I'm ready to see more of the world. I'm open minded, and I love meeting new people, trying new things, learning as much as I can from others and EATING. I'm down to earth and can pretty much take an interest in just about anything so I'm easy to get along with. Getting to know people over a meal/coffee/drink is my idea of a great time!

PHILOSOPHY

Leave behind the hate, and be open, genuine and positive, follow the things that inspire you, be warm towards others and things should work out just fine.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to couch surfing, my big 2013 trip will hopefully be my introduction to it.

Back in Perth, I still live at home and there's not much space, so at this stage in my life I am not able to host, but when I finally move out, wherever I am in the world, I will repay the debt that I owe kind people.

Interests

Music, international politics, language and culture, food, animals, nature, volunteering.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Florence and the Machine, Laura Marling, Mumford and Sons, The Wombats, The Grates, Eugene McGuinness, Regina Spektor, The Pogues, Vampire Weekend, Kimbra...

My favourite author is Roald Dahl.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Volunteering as a primary schoolteacher in Ghana for two months in early 2012, and living with an African host family. And generally bumming around the country on my days off. Squatting over sacred crocodiles, hitching a three hour ride through the middle of nowhere with a complete stranger and sitting in a sinking, borrowed fisherman's boat in the hippo-infested Volta between Ghana and Burkina Faso were highlights.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've volunteered teaching a lot of English in my time, so I'm always down for an impromptu English lesson, or if you're interested, Japanese! Teaching and learning language is something I'm really passionate about, so hopefully if you meet me, you can experience that!

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Ghana, Ireland, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Thailand, United Kingdom, United States
