About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Meet new people, find hidden gems and local hangouts, explore the surrounding areas, and share stories with hosts while I’m looking for a rental in the city.
ABOUT ME
You'll find out when you meet me :)

PHILOSOPHY
Old: When we drink, we get drunk. When we get drunk, we pass out, When we pass out, we commit no sin. When we commit no sin, we go to heaven. So, let's all get drunk and go to heaven.
New: Life is too short to worry about material possessions. I'd rather spend my money on great memories with great people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Previous: by providing temporary calm in the craziness that is China.
Current: by offering friendship, food, and fun in exchange for a couch.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've hosted in China.
Interests
Exercise, music, travel, food, new cultures, MMA, and just enjoying life. I also enjoy cooking, baking, and eating out. I guess I just love food in general. I'm also quite interested in new technology, science, and astronomy.
- technology
- science
- gym
- too many to list
- coffee and tea
Music, Movies, and Books
I like most types of music, but I’m not interested in death metal, screamo, or anything related.
As for movies, I think most things Marvel, Anchorman, In Time, Boondock Saints, and The Notebook are my top picks for American movies. But, I like nearly all genres of movies from most countries.
I'm not a big fan of reading books, I'm more into magazines and internet articles (that statement aged poorly). I get bored with novels too easily, and most cannot hold my interest long enough to finish, however Audible has recently gotten me back into exploring new books.
Recent listens:
Kitty Cat Kill Sat: A Feline Space Adventure
Hail Mary
The Blade Itself
The Martian
Breath
Dopamine Nation
I've always had a soft spot in my heart for textbooks though, comes with the territory I guess.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Old: saved many lives as a lifeguard, including diving into class 4 or 5 rapids in the icy waters known as the Sacramento River to save two drowning girls.
New: drove 50+ hours across the US exploring major cities, and visiting my family heritage sites, over a four week period in June.
Teach, Learn, Share
Spend at least one year of your life in another country, be it teaching or furthering your education, it will change your outlook on everything for the better.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A wealth of knowledge pertaining to all aspects of life, lots of travel stories, life in the US and abroad, and my cooking skills (lack thereof ;p)
