About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To breathe deep, center myself and hang loose.

ABOUT ME

Started way back as a computer tech firing missiles out of nuclear submarines, got my BS in accounting/finance (UW), became a IT consultant in the CPA profession (Los Angeles), got hit by a car, died, came back (NDE), then left my lucrative practice to follow a spiritual path that took well over twenty-five years.

After my NDE, I relocated to Bainbridge Island in Washington State and trained in the Olympic Mountains in the way of Spirit. Much like a shaman, and the spiritual seekers who isolated themselves in the caves deep in the mountains, my spirit team led me from one level of awakening to the next. I learned some incredibly powerful stuff about harnessing the universal life force, and I met, face-to-face, my inner "Higher Self" -- the one I now call Spirit.

After years of training, my teachers told me that the time for meditation and contemplation had passed and that the time had come to walk the Way of the Master. And so for years thereafter I wandered with my backpack and walking stick all over God's creation (the U.S., the U.K., Europe and Asia), much like a traveling monk, but with no particular spiritual or religious affiliation.

That journey ended when last year I returned to the Olympic Mountains and on October 8 celebrated my sixty-first birthday on top of Mount Zion.

Then last month, March 2010, I went into the Providence Mountains of the Mojave Desert and isolated myself in my Ford Explorer for over thirty days in silent meditation. I had a totally awesome time. A couple of times a week I hiked 15 or so miles across raw desert terrain, I was an honored guest of a colony of big black beautiful beetles in their mating season, and one day I saw the sun rise (7am), the sun set (7pm) and then immediately saw the full moon rise. Wow!

After that, I returned to Orange County, visited the place where I had my near death experience twenty five years ago, and closed the final loop.

Though I still make the Olympics (Port Townsend) my home, I'm traveling again, going from town to town, staying here awhile, there awhile, meeting more new beautiful people, and writing about my adventures. I honestly don't think I'll ever be done exploring this awesome reality. It's a never ending learning adventure.

Who knows, maybe our paths will cross. Wouldn't that be cool?

From my heart, I give you my very best.

Namaste.

PHILOSOPHY

I used to have a philosophy. Now I just look, listen, and chill.

Interests

Health & fitness stuff: Yoga, stretching, martial arts based exercises, meditation, creative visualization, hiking, camping, rock climbing, cooking, traveling, exploring, taking pictures, writing, gardening, playing guitar, and fixing stuff (electrical, plumbing, painting and pounding nails).

Oh, I don't smoke, don't drink, and don't do drugs. And I'm pretty much a fruit and veggies kind of guy.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all music. But my favorite tune is "The Wanderer" by Dion and The Bellmonts.
