Why I’m on Couchsurfing

A few weeks ago I quit my job, deferred from my paramedics degree and broke my lease to take a job as a tour guide in the Daintree rainforest. I found I was spending way too much time behind a desk between my full time corporate job and uni study after work. I backpacked for a year in 2015 and had heard of CouchSurfing but never utilised it. It' the thing I loved most about backpacking, meeting people from all over the world including fellow Aussie's who all have their unique stories and pursuits. I love meeting new people and hearing their stories. Life for me is about meaningful connection.

Interests

I have a broad range of interests but the ones that remain close to me are music (guitar, writing music), the great outdoors (running, hiking, camping), motorbikes, cooking great good. Learning! I love to learn new things no matter what the subject type. I find so many things fascinating; physics, chemistry, art, culture, dance, cooking, mechanics, engineering, avionics, climate change, environment, psychology... anything!

Quit everything to go after adventure in the North... my current move. Sometimes you just have to make that call and pack up your entire life and move.
