Saludos! My name is Michael and live in San Antonio, Texas. I am currently preparing myself to embark on an epic journey through 4 continents; Africa, Asia, Europe, and South America. Five years ago I got my first taste of traveling when my best friend and I went on a 6 week road trip across the western US and part of Canada. After that adventure came to an end I promised myself that I would backpack the world or at least part of it before I turned 30. The time has now come! It is now or never. I will be turning 29 in May and in August, the journey begins.

I am completely new to Couchsurfing but from what I have researched this is a great opportunity to connect with locals, make new friends, and even take a break from the main tourist path.

I am a very active person so I enjoy spending time outside as much as I can; hiking, biking, swimming, camping, stargazing (one of my favs!) etc.,

My taste in music expands across the spectrum. Chopin, Ruben Blades, Led Zeppelin, Diego El Cigala, Radiohead, Jorge Drexler, Calle 13, John Coltrane, and Sade just to name a few.
