ABOUT ME

I am half American and half German. Germany is my home where I grew up and I studied in England. Right now my girlfriend and I are traveling around the world together which has been amazing :)

I have always been around international people and love learning about new cultures. Especially the foods! :) I enjoy cooking, trying new recipes and finding good places to eat. I love meeting new people and sharing experiences. I love animals and especially dogs.

I am very laid back and am usually happy with the simpler things in life. I am not too much of a party animal, but do enjoy a good night out.

I am currently travelling and I can not offer our "couch" at the time. In the future it will be available. Maybe I will meet you in your home country first?

Interests

Apart from my love for travel, music has always been a special part my life. I love listening to good live music or having a jam with others. I play the guitar and am eager to improve my skills by learning from other musicians.

I love being in water, particularly when snorkeling or scuba diving. Since I have been traveling in countries with lots of interesting things to see, I have found myself able to spend several hours face down checking stuff out.

Generally anything that involves being outside in the sun makes me really happy. I am crazy about snowboarding and love road trips out to the mountains. I have a passion for anything that flies. I recently took part in a paragliding course and also a 2 week glider plane camp.

When I am feeling lazy I also really enjoy good movies or just hanging out with my friends :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1. One of the most amazing historic sights I have ever seen was the temples of Angkor Wat in Cambodia. Seeing those ancient giant structures at sunrise truly had me awestruck.

2. One of the coolest things I have done was Paragliding off the side of a mountain. I imagined that this is what it must feel like to be a bird. Literally after just taking a few steps your feet leave the ground like in a dream where you can fly.

3. Another awesome recent thing I have done was sailing the Whitsunday Islands in Australia. The islands where stunningly beautiful and everyone on our ship was really fun. Snorkeling with huge sea turtles and sting rays was unforgettable. Star gazing out at sea with no light pollution was the best night sky I have ever seen.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am always happy to teach people some German. Maybe cook up a good old fashioned schnitzel or something else?
