Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We are very new to couch surfing. After having our first guests this weekend and learning more about what's on offer, we are looking forward to getting into it more, namely joining the Edinburgh group and meeting some new people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have had two couch surfers stay in our old flat which was a great first experience, looking forward to more and surfing ourselves!

Music, Movies, and Books

We both love chilling out and watching a good movie/series and reading a good book.
Soph: Any cooking show, Six Feet Under, Weeds, Boardwalk Empire, Twin Peaks, Entourage, Amelie, The Usual Suspects, Up, Toy Story, Life is Beautiful, The Kings Speech and many more.
As far as books, i recently enjoyed Stieg Larsson's trilogy, i also enjoy reading a book based in a city/country i'm traveling.
Music wise I really like all types, US, Counting Crows, Angus and Julia Stone, Fleetwood Mac, Bjork, Adele. I also love any music festival and want to try to see more live bands.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Mike: Plitvice National Park in Croatia has been such a stand out memory of traveling, The most amazing natural wonder i have witnessed!

Soph: Winning a cooking competition in Melbourne which led to a trip with a chef in Vietnam. An amazing culinary and sightseeing adventure and a great experience!

Teach, Learn, Share

We are both keen to share advise and experiences of travel with other couch surfers. We are happy to share the knowledge we have of Edinburgh and of course our home Australia.
Mike is also very keen to learn another language, mainly French.
