About Me

Michael:
I am a relentless optimist and avid conversationalist. Living life for the sake of learning is my modus operandi. This endless search and acceptance of knowledge takes me to very diverse settings; mentally, emotionally and physically. In other words, I am a nerd, and a spontaneous, whimsical one at that!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As a surfer: After the first time experiencing traveling through the eyes of a couchsurfer I knew I would never go back to the "typical" tourist rhythm. Deep, real connections to a place through the people that live there is an unparalleled experience.

As a host: Getting out and about in my living space is what I do best! Finding and cultivating my favorite spots is a true passion, and something I love to share with others. If what you are looking for is a relaxed environment, some good conversation, and plenty of suggestions for things to do, my couch is your spot. Would love to join for a beer or share a home cooked meal!

Interests

I ferment things.

Dancing is my preferred method of transportation.

Currently obsessed with homemade noodles. Noodles. Noodles. Noodles. Thin noodles. Thick noodles. Flat noodles. Fat noodles. Wheat noodles. Soba noodles. Egg noodles. Dinner noodles. Breakfast noodles. Snack noodles. Picnic noodles. Soup noodles. Dry noodles. Saucy noodles. Cold noodles. Hot noodles. IOU noodles. NSFW noodles. YOLO noodles. Every day all day and night noodles. If you managed to get through my noodle-poetry, please write in your request your favorite type of noodle. If you don't like noodles, that's ok, but let me know anyways ;]

My bicycle is my brother and my mother is my greatest inspiration.

I like my dance floors deep, my reggae in the sun, and my jazz with a gnarly set of drums.

A meal with less than two types of vegetables is simply incomplete.

I pretend to be a farmer but really I just like playing in the mud.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: If its got some rhythm I'm probably good to go
Movies: I like films that focus on the space, not the content (and shit with aliens in it). I recently got into Studio Ghibli and it ruined me. Everything else is just...too much or not enough?
Books: I used to read tons of dystopian sci-fi, but nowadays I read poetry or just to fall asleep, learn languages or get information.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Mountain biking in the Moab Desert with my kickass sister!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have an overly enthusiastic nose and tongue, thus I'll without a doubt offer and/or seek both good food and drink. As an avid hobbyist, I love learning about other people's interests and how we relate.
