ABOUT ME

My name is Michael Darnton and I am a 23 year old male from Western Sydney, NSW, AUSTRALIA. I still love at home with my parents and have just recently graduated from university. Now I am about to embark on a trip around the world for around 12 months. Im looking to have a unique adventure and meet some great people along the way. Im always up for fun and adventure and I like to think Im a funny kind of guy.

Try to take advantage of moments and opportunities when you can. Say yes and be open to new experiences. The world is an amazing place and there are so many experiences awaiting! Diversity is a wonderful thing and try to experience memories with a whole range of people and cultures.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment I am new to the website and as I am travelling for a year I will be participating mostly by meeting other members and being hosted by them. The community has definitely inspired me to open up my couch when I have my house.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couch surfed only twice through this website and they were both in New York City in 06/07. At the time of writing now I have met people on my travels and stayed on their couches. In Europe alone I have stayed on various peoples couches for around 6 weeks! I love the experience of meeting these people and getting to know about them and their culture. Staying with a local is the BEST way to see a country and culture!!

Interests

I love to snowboard, mountain bike ride, party, hitchhiking, motorcycles, beach and am addicted to travelling!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love comedies (stupid ones mostly), love a whole range of music and love TV shows like Seinfeld and Family Guy. I have started to get back into books (whilst studying at uni I stopped stupidly!) I like autobiographies and various other novels.
