About Me

My name is Michael! I am an enthusiast for history, cooking and travel ever since I got into adventure and fiction stories when I was a kid! I now am working on a culinary portfolio alongside studying a little philosophy and just reading in general! My favorite books are World War Z and Moby Dick! Favorite cuisine is European such as French and German! I hope to also take more cooking classes whilst traveling also! My favorite philosophy is: “If nothing has inherent meaning in itself, it’s better to make your own meaning and live your best life!” PS: I am also willing to learn about cooking from all kinds of folks and practice and share such cookery with others too! Safely of course!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I hope to start socializing and meeting various kinds of people and immerse myself into various local experiences, even if I am slightly cash strapped at this time. Additionally I hope to share my passion and my blog/travel work with others on this grand road of life!

Interests

Culinary arts/cooking, military history, reading various novels, rock music and indie music, traveling (of course) and writing, for instance!

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite musicians have to be Pink Floyd, SlightlyAmiss, Sabaton, and Linkin Park. Those are just examples though!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I’ve actually traveled across the USA to the south of it before to see new sights and my friendo SlightlyAmiss too, by myself! That and I actually went skydiving when I was about 23!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach some culinary and historical things. In turn, I’d like to learn other languages and local cultures. I love sharing culinary and philosophical ideas!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Various recipes, philosophical ideas, other occasional gifts or other ideas! Additionally I also want to learn various skills to contribute to myself and other local fellows so I’m willing to learn and do housesitting for anyone I stay with. Just ask!
