About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Continue walking till I'm done.

ABOUT ME

Adventurous go getter and super friendly. Always willing to do everything. Sometimes even beyond what might be considered healthy. I'm interested in everything and really make the best of every situation. I love travelling, but can also spend a day or two relaxing and chilling when I need to.

PHILOSOPHY

The ancient Masters were profound and subtle.
Their wisdom was unfathomable.
There is no way to describe it;
all we can describe is their appearance.

They were careful
as someone crossing an iced-over stream.
Alert as a warrior in enemy territory.
Courteous as a guest.
Fluid as melting ice.
Shapable as a block of wood.
Receptive as a valley.
Clear as a glass of water.

Do you have the patience to wait
till your mud settles and the water is clear?
Can you remain unmoving
till the right action arises by itself?

The Master doesn't seek fulfillment.
Not seeking, not expecting,
she is present, and can welcome all things.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Providing a friendly face willing to do just about anything. When I'm home I have a couch to offer.

Interests

I make movies. Really. I do post production on films and hang out with the film community in Atlanta, Georgia, which surprisingly has a thriving film scene. I love good storys and love to make them come to life. I love biking and bike everywhere when I am at home. On the road I'm a walker and can walk for days. I like big cities, and small beach towns. But, most of all I like people. I find people fascinating and am always so blown away at the creativity of people. Oh, and I also like science. I went to school at Ga Tech and studied physics.

Music, Movies, and Books

I make movies and love them. Some of my favorites, but by no means either the best or a complete list. Apocalypse Now, Fallen Angels, The Conversation, City of Lost Children, A Clockwork Orange, Taxi Driver, Adaptation.

I'm use to think I was kinda a music snob, but then I realized I'm just really sensitive to bad music. My selections change all the time, but some favs: Neutral Milk Hotel, Old Crocodiles, Ty Segall, Strange Boys, Thee oh Sees, Black Angels, Godspeed You! Black Emperor. Old stuff: Beatles, Stones, Black Flag, Stevie Wonder, J5, Fleetwood Mac. Gosh, just anything good. Want a treat, check out http://chanceswithwolves.com/

Books. I don't know, I read everything. A lot of absurd fiction. A lot of science stuff. I'm all over the place.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I walked up the Himalayas to the Annapurna Sanctuary. That was fun. I love Berlin like a second home and have been there for months at a time. Running into a moose in Glacier National also was quite rewarding.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Canada, Costa Rica, Croatia, France, Germany, Italy, Nepal, Netherlands, Spain, Thailand, United States
