Too many people are thinking of security instead of opportunity. They seem more afraid of life than death.

Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man's character, give him power.

Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are.

Character is much easier kept than recovered.

Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.

A man cannot be too careful in his choice of enemies.

We are here to laugh at the odds, and live our lives so well that Death will tremble to take us.

Experience is a hard teacher, she gives the test first and the lessons afterwards.

It is necessary for us to learn from others' mistakes. You will not live long enough to make them all yourself.

The bravest are surely those who have the clearest vision of what is before them, glory and danger alike, and yet not withstanding go out to meet it.

A ship in harbor is safe, but that is not what ships are built for.

The best armor is to keep out of range.

I quote others only in order the better to express myself.

Life without passion is no life at all.

I'm extremely hip and in touch with humanity. I am also an extremely positive person.

So this is my new path which is a lot like my old path, except mine. To stay on this path, I need to work harder, explore new rituals, evolve...

Am I evil? Am I good? I'm done asking those questions. I don't have the answers. Does anyone?

A few principles to live by, courtesy of a friend: Here are a few principles that I like to think about and live by:

1. There is no such thing as failure, only opportunities to learn.
2. Continually expand your comfort zone. If something sounds scary, you should probably do it. That's the only way to grow.
3. Go out of your way to meet new people, because there is something you can learn from everyone. If you help enough people get what they want, you'll have everything you could possibly want.
