I like lots of things. Mostly, I like witty discourse, knowledge, and novel experiences.
I know that's vague. Sorry. Come visit me, and you can fill in the gaps for yourself! Such things are far more fun with a dash of mystery and intrigue anyway.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Thus far, I have hosted twice (both for one week each) and surfed once (for a three day weekend). I have been to a few of the Couch Surfing social gatherings in Vancouver but I found them to be strangely uninviting, so I haven't returned.
I have had but two couch hosting experiences during my time as a couch surfer. One time, I shared my dorm room for a week; while I was admittedly busy with school, I traded wine, tasty snacks, and strange stories with Valentina from Russia. Before that, I co-hosted a couch in my previous dorm room with my previous roommate. During the week that I spent with this surfer, I learned many important French phrases, such as: "Cette fille a une derriere belle" and "Bonjour".
I have also surfed once, having spent a three day weekend in Seattle with Jenn. Unfortunately, Jenn was rather busy during my brief stay, but she was very accomodating of my schedule and allowed me to have a key to the apartment such that my drunk self could let itself into the building at night. A very nice experience.
I like hammocks, long books, my progress thus far at learning Hindi, opening files in DOS because it makes me feel like I'm getting better at piano, the breast stroke, banter, and other things.

My favourite TV Show is the Wire because there is (to my knowledge) nothing so entertaining and artful as it on television ever; favourite movie is Scott Pilgrim because it was the perfect movie at the perfect time; favourite
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
- The tall grass stalk smothered bluff overlooking the Strait of Georgia on Hornby Island, British Columbia.
- Playing trombone on the Great Wall of China for a small group of tourists and locals.
- Sneaking into the Botanical Gardens/Steam Tunnels at UBC during the night. Never gets old.
- Sneaking into Amber Fort and watching a light show for free because it would have been disappointing if I had paid for it; instead it was lovely because I didn't.
