For me, it was a huge deal to come from a different country to study abroad here in Chicago. Although I had not planned this and was not entirely prepared to deal with such a big challenge, what I have learned is how important it is to take things one step at a time and focus your energy towards that point which needs the most first.

I am now a senior, I love to play piano, and I am currently pursuing a Bachelor Degree of Music in Piano Performance.

In the past year, I have seen music through different lenses. I’ve also experienced new sensations that I was not aware of while performing and realized how important it is to have a unique personal relationship with music. More than ever, I have seen how helpful it is to transform my practice sessions into a fun mental activity and to be perseverant.

I think success is everything you manage to do towards your goals and it could also be described even as the unnoticeable accomplishments that are driven by a good mind set each day.
