Well, there's quite a lot to write.

First of all, my name is Michael and I was born and raised in Austria. Currently I'm living in Vienna because I'm here for completion of my BA in Business Informatics. Next winter term I'm going to start with my Master in Information Systems.

I grew up in a small town at the lake Traunsee in Upper Austria, which looks just like it came straight out of one of those cheesy movies filmed in the alps with mountains and beautiful lakes and stuff like that.

It's now my eight semester in Vienna so I had enough time for getting to know the city and all the secret spots away from the classical tourist attractions.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've always wanted to travel the world but there was somehow a lack of motivation of actually doing it. So hopefully this gives me an incentive to not only talk about traveling but to actually do it.

Music, Movies, and Books

Hands down, my favourite movie of all time is Lord of War. I don't really know why, but it's one of those movies that I can watch over and over again and still don't get bored by it.

My musical taste is, to say it in a nice way, interesting. I like music of nearly all genres and I also tend to just press shuffle on my iPod and be surprised what's going to be the next song.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm not so sure if it's amazing or just stupid, but I managed to sleep calmly in a car parked at a beach in Finland instead of stepping outside and watch the Aurora Borealis.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm an expert in speaking dialect from the southern part of Upper Austria, so instead of teaching you some boring german phrase I can teach you awesome words like "Müllibitschn" or the important differences between "hidauntn" and "hibei".

What I Can Share with Hosts

Due to my housing situation (living in a small dorm room) I can't really offer you a place to stay but what I can offer you is some great advice on things to do in Vienna (or in the Salzkammergut) away from the beaten paths.

If my class schedule allows it I'm also ready for grabbing some drinks and showing you a little bit of Vienna's nightlife.
