I have lived in Australia for the past 11 years and am about to embark on a trip the length of the Americas for an undefined amount of time. However long it will take me to travel through everywhere between Canada and Patagonia:)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I feel that this is a platform to meet some local people in places and communities where traveling by staying in hostels and other forms of accomodation one never quite gets past skirting the edges of a place as opposed to finding a direct way into local community, culture and cultural exchange.
I am new to actively using Couch surfing hence why my references are thus far slim to none.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I took my younger brother, who was struggling with drug addiction on a trek through the Nepalese Himalayas and we used our trek to raise funds and awareness for Maiti Nepal, a local charity that works with women and children that are rescued from human trafficking and forced sex labour. It enabled me to help him help others and that has proven to be a very powerful journey for all.
