Hi! My name is Michal. I’ve hitchhiked across different parts of Europe, including the Balkans and Turkey, and I really enjoy traveling in a spontaneous way. For me, the best part of traveling is meeting people, hearing their stories, and getting to know how they live.

I’d love to connect with people from different countries, show them some of my favorite places in the Czech Republic, and also learn more about their culture.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Whenever I hitchhike, strangers give me a free ride, sometimes invite me for a meal, or even let me stay at their place. These small acts of kindness mean a lot to me, and Couchsurfing feels like a great way to give something back. It’s the least I can do to return the generosity I’ve experienced on the road.

Music, Movies, and Books

I really enjoy rock, metal, and punk bands, mostly Czech ones, because I feel a more personal connection to them. It’s easy to go to their concerts and sometimes even meet the musicians in person, which makes it even more special.

I’m a big fan of live music in general. The atmosphere at concerts is what I love the most, and the genre doesn’t really matter as long as it’s live and full of energy. In the Czech Republic we have a lot of amazing bands, and if you’re interested, I’d be happy to take you to a concert!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the things I’m most proud of is building a small wooden cabin in the forest together with my friends. It’s our little place where we make campfires, sing with a guitar, and just enjoy simple moments in nature. For me, it’s not only about the cabin itself, but also about the memories and friendships we built along the way.
