ABOUT ME

Live with my family near city center of Krakow, was student of classical languages till 2011. Was a quality manager in a small company (not very related with studies). Since a few years changed for the bigger company. International accountancy. I'm calm and peaceful person, loving nature ;) sometimes lazy but stubborn.
Love to traveling. Do not love as much working. Maybe if i could work and travel both it would be a greater idea, but - huh dreams!

PHILOSOPHY

Epicureanism (lathe biosas in some way - getting fun with life, for while we exist we do feel all lifes welfare; while we transfigure into a rotten cadaver we're unable to feel anything at all) and Stoicism (only in proper canonic version of course). Hard to talk with me about philosophy, hard even for myself. Let's drink a beer!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I used to "couch-surfing" using other websites, but CS creates more possibilities than others sites, so I started to participate in CS... Truely, I couldn't find no place to stay in Norway, and there came CS, bah!(there were premises, o there had to be somethin'!)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had profile in "other sites" before, and so by using it i was hosted several times and some people I hosted. Now while using CS I'm improving my experience in this way of traveling.

Interests

I like getting knowledge about history and culture. Heavy music & events and partying is the second area;) Playing some sports, walking in the mountains etc. Traveling of course;) Why should I write anythin' here, come and meet me - thus you'll gonna know everything!

Music, Movies, and Books

Books - classical (some I've read in original - latin or greek, I'm building my own Alexandrina).
Few months ago those awarded by Nobel prize (Shaw, Laxness) and Finnish literature (Linna, Sillanpaa, Oksanen). And some medievalia (Chaucer, Anna Komnena). And lot of poetry (e.g. modern greek like Kawafis, Seferis lately Rilke - hypnotic, lethal veil of spirituality). Not so often as in an old times - modern, also sci-fi, fantasy etc. etc.
Nowadays struggling with English literature in its canonic form. Alas! Here it comes, untranslated.

Music - it is not only metal, love also classic music (my daughter play violin so i have classic every day), post-rock, ambient, rock, folk (folk-rock, metal et consortes), punk, 60's & 70's rock, contemporary classical and some others.
Movies: great, great amount I've watched (one of my profiles counted that more than 1000 but I'm not pretty sure) von Trier, Kurosawa, Bergman, Polanski, Kim-ki-duk, Burton, van Sant, Aronofsky, Fellini, Tarkovskij, Kieslowski, Miyazaki and many more. Lately I try to stay in tune with older stuff, found some pearls half-recilined on adorned with gold bed.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

So much - it's hard to decide. Maybe the greatest was peoples power & achievement in China as well modern and ancient. There are also those "little moments" like first beer after walking 500 km in mountains many years ago;)

Teach, Learn, Share

My girlfriend is a half German she could teach German a little, and I can teach some latin, but i do not take my big latin grammars anywhere (they 're too heavy). Puhutko Sä Suomea? ;)
