About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Make life happen for you. Be imaginative, be creative and develop your talents.

ABOUT ME

Believe in your own capabilities, plan ahead, and yet seize the moment. Never live short of your own expectations. Know that potential is not quantifiable, nor is it limited. Meeting people, interacting and discovering new lifestyles, cultures, and language skills. Always attempt to enrich the lives of others and in so doing you'll be enriching yourself. be intravert at times and extravert at others. Sometimes it is necessary to step outside of your comfort zone to achieve these things. If such is the need, go for it. Valuable experiences come out of stepping out of that zone. Live, laugh, play, explore, entertain, discover, teach, learn, sing and dance even if you can't. In other words, be true to yourself. Live and feel alive!

PHILOSOPHY

Let your actions be memorable, let them be true and let them be virtuous.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Currently not able to host, but I think this idea is a great concept and I will be entertain hosting once I retire and settle back to living life on land.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

New at this. Registered three year, however have not used the site as yet so I'm a novice.

Interests

Things of importance to me are such things as people, cultures, fine arts, and living live outside of the rat race, enjoying the simple things that nature offers us. I love to go out, fly fishing or just walking, enjoying the feel of the elements, be it sun, rain, wind, water, etc. Those are the things that I feel make life worth living.

Music, Movies, and Books

Love most types of music although never quite figured out who was the first one to put the words "Rap" and "music" adjacent to one another. I love French music.
I enjoy watching documentaries especially if art related. Not a great movie boffin. I just watch and move on. Sorry to bore you on that but it's never been high on my list of priorities.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One very special time will be the seven weeks I spent in Myanmar (Burma) where complete strangers became friends and took me to such far out places where no Europeans get to go, and meet the locals there. The locals were all so welcoming and although we could not speak one another's language, the smiles, the food and the body language said it all. I will return there.
Another moment was a stranger on as plane, when I was traveling as a kid, and our plane had to make an unscheduled stopover in Athens. I should have stayed in the airport all day long, but this stranger offered to take my brother and I up to the Parthenon and showed us Athens. I will never know his name, but his act that day will remain with me for life. Going back to the Parthenon last year was awesome, but that first time because of the circumstances, was truly special.
One last thing was swimming in a cave in Mexico, close to Playa Del Carmen. What an experience. I have the photos to go with the memories.

Teach, Learn, Share

Art is a most emcompassing medium, and I believe we are all artists. Each of us choose a different canvas. Your canvas could be your garden, your kitchen, your home, your business or your children. We all create beauty, which I translate into saying that we're all artists. I think we should all share our art and teach other with similar interests.
