I'm a research associate at the university here, working towards getting my doctorate.

I've lived in many different countries -- travelling has been a fun and rewarding experience, and I'd love to help others in their sojourns.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The further away I travel, the more I tend to want to lock in my travel plans in advance, thus so far I've not actually surfed a single couch yet.

I've been listed as a host from the beginning, but have yet had the opportunity to host anyone so far. Having lived in a small university town in the States that's not near a major airport does that to you.

Books: Wow, where to start. I like works by Isaac Asimov, Margaret Atwood, Jane Austen, Umberto Eco, Aldous Huxley, Haruki Murakami etc.
