Hi my name is Michela Amoruso, I am Dominican Italian. I tend to be a little shy at the beginning, but once I get comfortable it's as if I've always known you. I am passionate about food, books and music and tend to know a little bit of everything on each of them, if not I'm curious by nature so I don't mind learning about something new.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I- like most of you- love travelling and exploring new places.
I was born in Santo Domingo , Dominican Republic, but grew up in Imola, Italy, as a child. Once I turned 18, I moved to the Cayman Islands, where I got my first working experience, and proper taste of multinational cultures. It is truly amazing to work with people so different because of the places they are from. In the past few years I've travelled all over Europe but not as much as I'd liked it . I am hoping through couchsurfing, to keep meeting new people with different cultures and maybe keep making friendships from all over the World.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music : It's hard to name favorites because it depends on my mood. I would say Latin Music,Pop songs, Ballads, Blues, Country Pop, Rock pop.

Books: Well anything by Cecelia Ahern , ANYTHING. Then I'd say Dark Materials by Phillip Pullman(fantasy), Robert Thiers series of Storm and Silence(historical fiction). Emotional Creature by Eve Ensler(Play). Pretty Girls by Karin Slaughter which is a thriller dont let the title fool you. And I could go on and on forever.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most incredible thing I've ever done is taking a leap and starting to travel SOLO. It doesnt matter where I go as long as I'm in a new place, it is truly an incredible experience since you get to take it all in and step out of your comfort zone.

Teach, Learn, Share

Well I cook both Italian and Dominican food so I could bring you a little culture myself, and likewise with Italian and Spanish I can try and teach !

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer huge smiles and laughs, deep conversations on anything you'd like. Also food! I can cook as mentioned above both Italian and Dominican food. Im always ready to eat! Oh and if you like to play instruments Ill sing along! Im not Celine Dion, but Ill make it work 😂
