About Me
Hey! I found a passion for travel five years ago on my first trip abroad. I was 18 and went to seven countries in two weeks on a college tour with two friends. This trip changed me! I discovered so much about myself from it and I'm forever thankful for the people and the experiences. Two years later I went on another european adventure with the same tour group. A year later I travel to Jamaica with two friends and we had the time of our lives. Our trip was packed full of freedom, adventure and new experiences. It left me with an urge to experience more. I'm currently making travel a priority, and will be going on my first solo trips this year. I can't wait to experience the culture, scenery, people and food that everywhere and anywhere has to offer!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing is something I've always been interested in but was very skeptical about. I've heard great things from it though, and believe it will be an asset to my travels. There are two main factors keeping me from traveling as much as I'd like to: money and my dogs. I have two dogs that mean the world to me and I can't leave them for long periods of time. I love animals and I understand their dependency on me, and would not feel right. Lucky for them, I don't have enough money to constantly be on the go as of now, haha! Couchsurfing seems like an efficient way to offset travels costs while meeting locals to enhance my cultural experiences.

Teach, Learn, Share
I hope to teach and share what I've learned is important in life so far: what makes one happy. While in Jamaica, I was consistently told by locals "In Jamaica there are no problems, only small situations." Two years later, this is something I tell myself on a regular basis. Growing up and living in New York creates a fast paced life. They say if you've lived or worked in New York you can make it anywhere. The problem is, it's so easy to let your life pass by without really living and enjoying it. There's a constant worry about always getting something else, making more money, moving faster, always being in a rush, and for what? It's so easy to remain uptight living in this city. I want to teach others to enjoy and appreciate their lives. I want to learn how others enjoy there lives.
