My name is Michelle and I'm currently a student in college (university) studying Sociology and Government! I love traveling and have traveled to several countries in Europe, Ghana, and India. Some of my hobbies are reading, running outside, eating good food, and getting to know people! I'm always ready for an adventure and would love to meet some new people along the way!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm interested in Couchsurfing because I have done it before and it was such a great experience! Both my hosts were interactive and were willing to share all of their knowledge with me. Rather than getting hopelessly lost in a city/country, I think it's best to get to know a local so that I know the ins and outs of the location I am staying in. In addition, I love exchanging culture, opinion, and knowledge with others and I think Couchsurfing has created a perfect way to do that with people all around the world!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have lived in southern India for 4 months this past year studying Sociology, Anthropology, and the Tamil language. While I was in India, I conducted and independent research project that focused on Indian women's inaccessibility to public bathrooms.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Korean cooking, Korean language, discussion about Korean culture (entertainment, music, etc), talks about American culture/politics/entertainment/lifestyle, my passion for travel and exploring the world as a solo traveler.
