About Me
Hey everyone!
I'm a 25 year old globetrotter from Germany currently living in Dortmund and working in marketing in the tourism industry. Love to travel and explore the world. I'm always keen on getting to know people and exploring new parts of the world. I'm active, spontaneous and would definitely describe myself as an open-minded person with lots of humor and a big heart.
I've always wanted to travel the world, live in other places and learn new languages: I was a high school exchange student in the U.S. back in 2009/2010 where my passion for traveling started. Therefore, I decided to study International Business and did exchange semesters abroad in Taiwan and Australia and volunteered in Bolivia in a social project for seven months after graduating from uni. I personally believe we should all be aware of the opportunities most of us fortunately have in our lifes, help others in need and be generally tolerant about different ways of living.
There are so many places I still want to visit so I'm more than happy about any recommendations!! :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think Couchsurfing is an amazing opportunity to get to know new people, places and cultures while traveling alone or with friends. I personally haven't hosted anyone so far but I'm definitely planning on doing so in the future. I believe it's a great way to explore a city/country from the perspective of a native!
Interests
In the first place, I love traveling and getting to know new people and cultures. Dancing is my other big passion: in over 15 years I've tried out several different dances like Ballet, Jazz Dance, Modern Dance and Hip Hop. I recently got into Caporales which is a typical Bolivian dance from La Paz and it was a great opportunity to get to know Bolivian culture first-hand.
Also, I enjoy reading books, watching movies and cooking with family and friends. Generally, I'm a very active person, like to be outdoors and I always keep myself busy and try out new sports and activities. I also love to go out partying and dancing once in a while and just having fun with my friends.

Music, Movies, and Books
Difficult question!
Music: Some of my favorite artists are Coldplay, Mumford and Sons, Alt-J, Chet Faker, Kings of Leon, Milky Chance, Marteria, Cro and MS MR. It always depends on the occasion! When going out dancing I enjoy charts and also deep house but I also love alternative music and sometimes classical music as well (Yann Tiersen!)
Movies: Some of my favorite movies are The Prestige, Inception, The Butterfly Effect, A Beautiful Mind and The Imitation Game. Generally, I love mind-twisting movies that are thought-provoking.
Books: I've read too many to remember any books in specific but in general, I enjoy reading thrillers. One of my favorite authors is Harlan Coben.
