Hello everyone!

My name is Michelle island it's lovely to meet you. I'm an avid traveler heading out on my next big adventure which will be starting in Portugal! I love to see new places, meet new people, and really get a feel for the local community and culture that I'm visiting. I have traveled using workaway alot more than couch surfing, but am moving a bit faster through Europe so hoping to couchsurf my way around, and experience the most I can in a short time.

I love to meet new people, and think this will be a great way to get tips on the best local spots to hit in each place I visit. I believe couchsurfing will allow me to get a better feel for a place without spending in as much time in each place as I usually do. 🙂

Interessen

I really like hiking and spending time outdoors. Love to cook and eat, maybe paired with a good beer or wine. I absolutely love to explore new places, and meet people from all over the world. I enjoy learning the different ways people do things, and think we can all learn from eachother.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I'm all over the place with all of these. I don't watch many movies, I definitely enjoy reading more. I read alot of books about spirituality/different ways of thinking, but also love a good mystery or romance novel. As for music I can appreciate most! I can switch from 70's rock to reggae to country in a day 🙂.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

This is a toughie.... I feel so grateful for all of the experiences I've been able to have it's hard to single out just one. I'll go with house-sitting in the Amazon (2 hours outside of Iquitos) for a month. I was solo for the first 3 days, and it was a pretty amazing thing to be 20 minutes from the nearest neighbor, in the middle of the jungle all by myself. 🙂

I love to learn different ways of doing things. I am happy to teach/share my knowledge of fitness, healthy eating, and I know lots of card games I've learned throughout my travels!
