About Me

Aloha to all the beautiful souls out there!

CURRENT MISSION

To give back to Mother Earth by learning to live a permaculture lifestyle!
How to live a minimalistic lifestyle
Figuring out my sole life journey through physically, mentally, and spiritually while backpacking around the world

ABOUT ME

Weird
Quirky
Just a Cook 👩‍🍳 that's putting her career on hold at the moment
Korean-American
Solo backpacker
I love to EAT...alot
I love to hike and immerse myself in NATURE and BEACHES
I'm still learning how to play my ukulele
Apparently, I'm from everywhere (the southeast countries I've visited so far, I have blended in with the locals)

MY PHILOSOPHY

Be YOU
"Happiness is only a byproduct..."
"Real happiness comes from who we are, who we become...."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to meet like minded travelers and locals to really get a sense of the different diversity of cultures in each country.
We can exchange stories, have a blast, and maybe drink more water😂
Plus, being a solo backpacker it's always such a blessing to learn about the individual's place of country while traveling. We were taught about different stereotypes on certain race, people, and countries. While backpacking, I've found my mind to even expand more to its glorious openness. You start to realize everyone is wrong about certain people's countries in one way or another.

Interests

Cooking is therapeutic!!! (It’s my professional job)
Hiking and being out in nature is always a fave💕
And then there’s the beach💕
Sometimes I’ll write
Sometimes I’ll play guitar (I’m only a beginner)

Music, Movies, and Books

BOOKS

Celestine Prophecy by James Redfield
The Tenth Insight (An experimental guide) by James Redfield
The Alchemist
“Unfuck Yourself” on audible ....

MUSIC

Chill, hippie kind of music
EDM
Epic movie soundtracks
Classic good ole DISNEY
Just whatever that sounds good that fits my mood

MOVIES

I don't remember the last movie I've watched (don't really watch a lot of them)
All of Hiyazaki films, especially Spirited Away (classic)
Chef's Table on Netflix
All of Disney Pixar movies

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

*Quit my 7 year career to go on this amazing solo backpacking adventure throughout Southeast Asia

*Trekked the Annapurna Circuit solo in NEPAL
*Living off of a 40 Liter Osprey Fairview backpack!
*Buying a tiny ukulele in Pai, Thailand to learn how to jam while traveling! (played my ukulele on the side of the road while hitchhiking)
*Hitch-hiked in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Nepal
*cliff jumping the "grand canyon" in Chiang Mai, Thailand
*got my Open Water Dive Certificate in Amed, Bali
*dived at the Liberty Shipwreck site

Teach, Learn, Share

I think it's perfectly normal to come to a point in our individual lives and question ourselves where we are now. We should do what we want to do and not through society's way of living. Nothing should be forced upon us.

Happiness comes from within us. It's who we are and who we've become that makes us happy. We should savor the "fish" that we caught and enjoy that moment of bliss.

Be in the present moment. Sometimes we forget to just be here right now. Not the past, nor the future, but the present.

What is the universe telling us on our individual journey? There can be signs and omens all around us that can be a huge insight to our life. We should open ourselves to the energy and receive as they come.

Also, I've been listening to the minimalists podcast:

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my personal travel stories starting with my first backpacking country that I did solo
And not so good stories that becomes part of your journey, regardless😎

We can also talk about the universe....
Signs and omens throughout our lives....
Possibly aliens as well or other beings out there

I can share my seven year kitchen experience as a cook :)
Maybe even cook as well :)
I can play beginner ukulele. Currently learning Lemonade by Jeremey Passion. If you'd like to listen, you most definitely can. (my first song was Riptide by Vance Joy)

Just anything you want to know, feel free to ask!
