About Me

Hello! I love exploring new places and meeting new people :) I'm a hiker, a beach bum, a hockey player, a music lover, a concert goer, a camper, a yogi, etc.

I'm a teacher. I'm really easy going, I'm vegan, I'm originally from Long Island, New York but I have been living in San Diego for 5 years now.

I'm into a lot of different kinds of music. Honestly. Always down for seeing live music in any city!

I'm new to this, and I'm sure taking someone in with no references to show would be a bit of a put-off, but I am willing to FaceTime/Skype beforehand to "meet"!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love traveling, but I always have a tight budget, so I look for the cheapest travel options possible :) I also do a lot of solo traveling, so meeting new people would be fantastic. Right now, I have one weekend in mind for September in Chicago for Riot Fest, so it would be cool to find someone who is going to the fest - but if not, I'd love to experience Chicago with a local because I haven't spent much time there at all.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: I'm trying to be a better reader, but obviously Harry Potter is the best.

TV: The Office, 30 Rock, Scrubs and Seinfeld are pretty much on repeat nonstop.

Music: I have a very diverse taste in music. Favorite albums of all time - Jimmy Eat World "Clarity", Saves The Day "Stay What You Are", The Movielife "This Time Next Year", The Bouncing Souls "How I Spent My Summer Vacation", Weezer "Pinkerton", The Beatles "Rubber Soul".... I think that's a good start :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Last year, I went to the "Desert Trip" festival in Coachella Valley, California. No one I knew was able to get tickets, but I knew it was a once in a lifetime opportunity so I decided to go solo! It was honestly one of the best experiences of my life. Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, Neil Young, The Who, and Roger Waters, plus camping in the desert by myself?! Come onnnnnn. Badass.
