About Me

Hi there!

I'm looking to get out of my comfort zone by exploring new places around the world!

I currently work in the tech industry as a recruiter and I also maintain my passion for singing, writing songs and performing with a band in my off time.

I love meeting new people and learning about their cultures and values, especially when they differ from my own!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because I want to travel more while remaining within a budget! I also want to get the chance to meet locals wherever I go-- this site seems to be a great way to do that.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was 18, I won a scholarship from the National Foundation for the Advancement of the Arts ( also known as YoungArts ) for Pop Voice. I was flown to Miami for a week to collaborate with and learn from other high performing artists around the country, as well as receive mentorship from highly regarded vocal coach, Bruce Kolbe, who had worked with Bette Midler, Liza Minelli, etc. I was also flown to New York by the same program to participate in a performance at the Baryshnikov Center.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook for my hosts! I'm still learning how to have fancy cooking skills, but I'm great at putting together a simple veggies/meat/carbs dish. My favorite dish to cook is a mexican bowl: rice, black beans, corn, avocado, tomato, tofu ( chicken ) and cheese. yum!
P.S. I love learning how to cook, if you feel like sharing your talents with me-- I would love to be your student!

I can teach English!

I can give you tips on how to improve your resume, Linkedin profile or cover letter! As a recruiter, I see hundreds of resume's a day - I'm happy to help if you're interested.

I CAN BE THE BEST DANCING BUDDY - I'll teach you the moves ;-)
