About Me

I recently moved to Vancouver, Canada from San Diego, California, where I lived and worked for the past three years as an American Sign Language teacher at Fusion Academy, as well as a Content/Curriculum Director at The Social Express, a start-up company that develops online social-emotional programs for children and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Before moving to San Diego, I completed my Master of Arts degree in Child Study and Education at the University of Toronto, after which I worked for four and a half years as a teacher at a private elementary school. My passions include educating youth about the importance of ocean conservation, improvising in front of large audiences, sailing, photography and martial arts. This past year, I began working as a Learning Strategies Teacher for York House School in Vancouver, in addition to becoming an on-shore volunteer for Sea Shepherd, Unceded Coast Salish Territories.

I love reading non-fiction books, including anything about sharks, and taking courses on a wide variety of topics.
