I grew up in a rural village in a poor family. I felt so self-conscious and embarrassed that I did not live in a nice house with a model family. To escape from reality and find some solace I read tons of books. In my time there was no kindle, internet or audible so the good old fashion reading of the dog-eared books was what I did. I would dream and wish for what seemed like hours on the kind of life I read about. I remembered every time I saw a plane overhead, I would run screaming and waving "bring a dolly for me". The little me with all her heart really believed that they could see me loll.
That is when the seed of wanting to travel was planted. However, I had many setbacks in life but finally boarded a plane for the first time at age 24 yup 24. All the countries I visited, I fell in love with the people and the culture and I never stopped traveling...well besides that tumultuous relationship that set me back a few years, I am still at it !

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have met so many wonderful and giving people whilst traveling so this made me want to give back. I love hearing people give stories about their country, their lives. Our time on this earth can be more beautiful if we give love. Its a boomerang effect
