ABOUT ME

We're a couple that been together for 12 years and been married almost 2. We met in high school and been together ever since. We'd love to travel and try to do it as much as we can. There are a lot of countries still on our bucket list, but the USA really stole a part of our hearts. That's how we end up road tripping there for the fifth time now...

Interests

We both have busy jobs (Gert: engineer in medical imaging with AGFA and Michelle: account manager ultrasound with Toshiba), so going on holiday is what we live for every year. It starts with the planning and the actual trip is the "peak" of the year. We love to connect with other cultures and learn more about all kinds of different people. We absolutely love animals and love to come across some in the wild that we don't have back home. At home we like to spend a lot of time with our dog, Lucie. That's the only downside of travelling, to leave her behind every year (but we have a lot of great family members, who argue to take her!) .

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well so far we've visited a lot of countries (India, Australia, Thailand, USA, Europe,...) and every trip there are moments that will stay with you forever.
The most beautiful sunset I have ever seen on a giant sand dune in Western Australia, the cockroaches in our beach shack in Goa, India or the proposal I got in Crystal Cove State Park in California,... They don't always have to be "good" times, as long as they're one of a kind and memorable!
