ABOUT ME

Fun-loving, friendly and caring. Happily married to Mike, we both enjoy travelling and meeting new people. Life is too short to sit still, so I enjoy getting out and about and giving new things a go but also enjoy a quiet night at home with a good bottle of wine and movie. I love cooking and entertaining and with summer coming up we are looking forward to the BBQ season.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have friends that have been couch surfing and friends that host couch surfers. I have met a few people through them and think it would be a great idea fro Mike and I to host and participate in some couch surfing too. 2013 is going to be a big travel year for both of us, so we will look at doing some couch surfing while we are in South America too.

Interests

I love to keep active and busy - I have a wide range of interests - walking, working out at the gym, movies, dining out, cooking, travelling, entertaining, reading, scrapbooking, photography, outdoor activities, water activities,ceramics, singing, Inner Wheel (an International Women's Service organisation)trying new things, meeting new people and having fun.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have an eclectic taste in music - classical for relaxing, 80's to get the dancing feet going.
I also enjoy a wide range of movies - generally comedy/romance/drama - a good thriller too. I go to a monthly movie group and view a wide range of movies.
I read mainly chick lit but have read the classics too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Where to begin...- Crossing the USA on an Amtrak train at the age of 10 - Skiing with royalty in Davos, Switzerland - Watching the sunset behind Christ the Redeemer in Rio - Driving through France with no map and no GPS finding our way from one place to the next via roundabouts and road signs - Toasting marshmallows over an open fire in the Adirondack mountains - Snorkelling at Great Barrier Reef - Fellucca trip down the River Nile - ...the list goes on...
