About Me
CURRENT MISSION: Be a good human.
ABOUT ME
I currently live in Nebaj, a remote town in rural Guatemala. I work with a non-profit organization called Limitless Horizons Ixil - check it out! We have a girl-focused school tucked away in an indigenous town in the Cuchumatanes mountains, and I absolutely love our work. I grew up in Georgia, and while I love my home state, I also enjoy spending time in other parts of the world. I lived in Tegucigalpa, Honduras for ~4 years, and I go back every chance I can. I also studied in Turku, Finland, another country that stole my heart. My partner and I will soon move back to the US, but we will never stop exploring.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Right now, I am not in a place to offer up a couch or guest bed. I'm sorry! When we move home, it'll be open to any and all respectable, curious folks.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
While traveling, I've found couchsurfing to be an incredible resource. There have been times I haven't needed a place to rest my head but instead contacted locals about grabbing a beer or coffee. I've made a couple lifelong friends that way and look forward to seeing them again. I've also stayed a few nights with people in different cities in Latin America. Maybe I'm just spoiled, but every experience has been uniquely fantastic.
