ABOUT ME

I am a single mum, love travelling with my children. I am very active with the kids, we play outside every afternoon..usually involving a ball of some kind. If we stay in your place we are happy to spend time with your kids. My daughter is 16 and my son is 11. They are incredibly close and both very good with other people.
Lyra (lee-ra) enjoys playing netball and basketball. She loves snowboarding, horseriding, swimming. She plays a bit of violin. She is a certified advanced scuba diver. She is in grade 11 and wants to be a teacher.
Caelum plays rugby and also enjoys snowboarding and horseriding. He is in grade 6.

We have three dogs. 2 chihuahuas and 1 staffy x Our chihuahuas often come out with us, the 9-year old one has been cuddled by over 1000 people in his life, easy enough when one outing can bring him 5-10 new friends. The staffy is friendly and has been brought up very well.
I am a veterinarian and work most days, I also work every second weekend. I cannot do much sightseeing, but can point you in the right direction, we live close to a train station with direct trains to the city, the trip to Melbourne takes 30mins and is about 10 stations away. The train station is not walking distance, but is only a few minutes away by bus

PHILOSOPHY

Focus your life on experiences and bringing joy to others. I am a single parent and my life revolves around my children, but I also take time out from myself and am more peaceful with life now (just turned 30) than I have ever been before

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I previously had a house in Brisbane which had a massive area downstairs. Now my house is much smaller. I have a couch, can organise a mattress if necessary in the loungeroom. We have lot of blankets and my son has three single beds in his room which he is happy to donate for couchsurfers to use (he will happily sleep in my bed)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have never couchsurfed, but have had lots of people staying in my house for short/long periods. One friend of my brothers stayed for nearly 5 years, he was still downstairs years after my brother moved out
