About Me
CURRENT MISSION
A couple science geeks exploring the world in the lab and out on foot
ABOUT ME
I live with my boyfriend Michael and dog Asha (a weimy) and 2 cats. We are both finishing our PhD studies-almost there! Ask us anything-we love to share our nerdy science experiences :) We try to take any chance we get to escape every-day life and explore the outdoors, especially during the short MN summers. We always have homebrewed beer in the fridge or veggies in the garden, and some of our favorite times are spent in the backyard with friends around a bonfire. Life is better shared :)
PHILOSOPHY
We try to be inquisitive and follow instincts, they can open up some unexpected paths.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We are new to the CS community and excited for new experiences.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Not much to say yet, but ready and willing to learn from hosts and surfers we meet along the way.
Interests
I play a lot of soccer/football! We like to be outside and active; hiking, backpacking, canoeing, biking, gardening, karaoke, and we love our pets. We like to brew our own beer at home and cook together, and I am always trying new baking recipes :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My little brother wanted nothing more than to skydive for his 18th birthday, so I was his wing-woman. The first seconds of free-fall was almost beyond words...total exhilaration & liberation.
For Michael, spending time in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area (BWCA) tops the list--an amazing place as far removed from civilization as you can get around these parts.
