About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To experience, to see, to know.

ABOUT ME

What can I say about myself? Well, I like to think that I am a thoughtful, intelligent, open-minded person. I study social anthropology at UCLA, so you could say that I am a "people-person"!! I love to talk with new people and gain new perspectives and share my own. I love to reevaluate and adjust my beliefs as I learn new things about the world. I think that I will be a perpetual student of the world.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe life is what you make it. With a good outlook and a smile, you can handle anything and have the best time doing it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to CS. Previously, I have lived in Chicago and across California, but this is my first time traveling abroad. I am studying in Sweden for the fall term and will be traveling Europe as much as I can in the coming months. I would love to host once I get back to the US, but for now I am a traveler!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am new to this! A friend back in Los Angeles was a pretty constant host and that really inspired me.

Interests

I love a lot of things. My most recent love is biking through towns and around the country-side. It's a phenomenal experience that Americans don't appreciate back home. I love cooking and eating delicious food, trying new recipes, learning languages, and experiencing cultures.

Music, Movies, and Books

I should spend more time reading -- I love Robert Ludlum novels and Scepticism Inc. My favorite is Mel Brooks' Blazing Saddles.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I just backpacked Italy for three weeks. Cliche, yes, but it was life-changing. It changed my perspectives on traveling and meeting people, and also of my own capabilities and responsibilities as a traveler and world-citizen. I'm eager to expand my travel-knowledge.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach? I know a lot of things about a lot of stuff, and none of it ever seems to be very important.

I would like to share cultures (and with that, food!). I'd like to teach you how to make some Italian/Polish/Swedish food, and I would like for you to share your food culture with me as well!

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Sweden

Countries I’ve Lived In

Sweden, United States
